Dana Carr

Dana Carr is a federal, state, and local grants expert with 20 years of experience in education and public health.

 

Dana previously served as Director of Health, Mental Health, Environmental Health, and Physical Activity Programs at the U.S. Department of Education. In that role, Dana managed several discretionary grant programs, which included designing application packages, advising applicants and grantees, peer review development, recruitment, training, and oversight.

 

Dana has served as a peer reviewer for several grant programs for the US Department of Health and Human Services' Health Research and Services Administration and the US Department of Justice. She began her career working for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion.

 

Dana received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and her Master's Degree in Public Health with a focus on Maternal and Child Health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
