Amy joined Merchant McIntyre Associates to help nonprofits and local governments maximize the impact of their federal funding and to assist them in successfully implementing additional programs. She is an advocate for the miracles that nonprofits perform every day and for the lives they transform.

Amy possesses more than 26 years of grant management and compliance experience. She previously worked as a consultant with Amplio Services Group and as the Director of Financial Services at Tallahassee State College (TSC).  At TSC she directed the budget, financial reporting, business services, and sponsored programs divisions.  Amy grew TSC’s sponsored programs budget to exceed the College’s operating budget, including direct federal grants from the US Department of Education, US Department of Labor, US Economic Development Administration, National Science Foundation, US Department of Health and Human Services, US Department of Justice, and US Department of Agriculture.

Amy is known for launching programs. She began her career at TSC in a contracted position that allowed her to help establish a variety of Governor’s initiatives through four administrations. She helped establish a centralized grants division at the local school district and expanded the Sponsored Programs Office at TSC to be the central structure for grants management and fiscal compliance at the College.

Amy volunteers as a board member of Family Promise, a nonprofit in Tallahassee that supports housing for veterans and families. She relaxes through gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and her variety of pets.
