With more than a decade of experience, Katie serves as our Director of Human Resources. In her career, Katie has championed people-centered initiatives across diverse sectors, including education, federal consulting, and startups.
She is excited to bring her expertise to Merchant McIntyre, working to empower its team and drive its mission.
Katie began her career in Washington at the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center (BISC), where she supported the advancement of progressive ballot measures during the 2012 and 2013 cycles. Since then, she has led HR operations at Summit Consulting, The Headfirst Companies, and Cove, partnering with leadership to deliver strategic solutions to drive organizational growth and foster a positive workplace.

In addition to her academic background described below, Katie has earned certifications from the Society of Human Resources (SHRM-CP) and Human Resources Certification Institute (SPHR).
Outside of work, Katie enjoys giving back by volunteering with City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and discovering exciting places through her love of travel.
